UE refers to any other courses offered at the School or University level but do not count as Core or GER-PE. You can select any UE offered by any School in NTU, not just UEs offered within SSM.

UEs can be used to fulfill the requirements of a minor programme offered by other Schools in the University.

Course Reclassification Policy

Students are only allowed to change course classifications for courses registered in the current semester during the Add/Drop period via STARS and is limited only to GER-PE and UEs. Requests to reclassify courses after the Add/Drop period or for graded courses completed in previous semesters are considered appeals and will be strictly considered on a case-by-case basis.

Requests to reclassify SSM sport elective courses from PE to UE will not be allowed. Requests to transfer a (P)rescribed sport elective course to another student to be taken as UE will also not be entertained.
